What to See in Antipolo

“Tayo na sa Antipolo at doon maligo tayo sa batis na kung tawagin Hinulugang-Taktaktak,” is that famous catchphrase we sing when Antipolo is brought up. How this classic Filipino folk song depicted Antipolo is exactly how it is, full of nature’s picturesque surprises.

While the annual trek to the Pilgrimage Capital in the Philippines has been canceled because of the threat from Covid-19, sites in Antipolo have been new and improved. Protocols regarding the control of spread have since been the primary goal of the authorities in Antipolo. Although, in line with these preparations, steps for the betterment of the tourist destinations are taking huge leaps at the moment.

Tourist destinations

Hinulugang Taktak is that famous waterfall we hear in the song. It is a popular weekend destination for city dwellers and was declared a “protected landscape” by DENR and Rizal Provincial Government in 2009.
